David Ellis Dickerson is a former greeting card writer and a regular contributor to public radio’s This American Life, where he often talks about his conservative religious upbringing. His work has appeared in the Atlantic Monthly, the Gettysburg Review, and the Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror. His Hallmark memoir, House of Cards, was published by Riverhead in 2009.
